Information concerning visa requirements and processing

Thank you very much for your interest in travelling to Germany and the Schengen states.
Please refer to the menu on the left for all necessary information regarding visa application and processing.
Visa applicants who wish to visit Germany, Austria, Estonia, Hungary or Latvia on a short term visit (up to 90 days) are kindly requested to submit all necessary travel documents to the

Interviews and collection of passports however will be carried out at the German Embassy.
We recommend to make use of the services offered by the VFS German Application Centre which clearly redound to your advantage: comprehensive information, competent counselling, transparency of appointment scheduling, flexible accessibility, reduced waiting hours, expedition of visa processing time, fast-track visa process for frequent travellers.
It is, however, also possible to hand over your documents directly to the Embassy. For this, please call in for an appointment beforehand and make sure that you have the nesessary documents at hand. The appointment can be made only on Tuesdays between 2 pm and 3.30 pm, 077-354 1017. Please note, that there is only a limited number of direct appointment slots available per week and you might have to allow for some extra waiting time.
